I purchased this unit to replace a Kenwood KDC-MP425 which served me well, but ultimately stopped ejecting CD’s. Anyway while this one doesn’t have the flashy graphics of the Kenwood unit it certainly outperforms it in function.

This unit let’s you fast forward and rewind through MP3 CD’s quickly. ID3 tags are read and the Aux input will be useful for when my friends with Ipods. Sound quality is very good, however I did not realize until installing that this unit only has one set of RCA outputs if you’re going to hook it up to a four channel amp. The remote is a nice little bonus, as I had to buy my last one separately.

It was this or a unit with GPS built in for $200 more. I’m glad I went with this one and held onto my money during these tough economic times.

Works great, easy to install, has a nice selection of options to tune your setup. Havnt used the remote at all so I cant comment on that. It sounds great, I dont have an amp and my car still shakes from bass hits.

I love this unit! I have been using it for a month now, and have had absolutely no problems with it. I have it installed in a 1969 Ford F250, which gets used like a truck. Radio reception is very good, and I get no skips when playing CD’s. The directions on installation were clear, and I got it wired up with no trouble.

Installed it using a METRA Ltd 99-9222 Radio Install Kit for a Volvo.[...]

I really like the fact that the faceplate is removable. My truck is parked behind my house, so the removable faceplate is a good theft deterrent.

I haven’t used the remote control yet, so I can’t really comment on that. But if you’re looking for a great stereo at a great price, this is the one!

This little puppy is pretty darn fair for the buck, puts qaulity sound at your control, depending on your choice of speakers. It will flat crank…I not saying it will out do a $1200 or $2000 system, but for the money , it’s an outstanding value…JVC is good. Worthy

This is a very good stereo with an even better price. Ive bought 3 in the last year. If your looking for a stereo that gives you all the basics plus it has an aux input for your mp3 player than this is it. I’m using it on 2 sony xsgtx6930 6×9 and 2 pioneer ts-g1642r 6.5in and the bass is incredible even without running an amp. The remote is handy too and the face is detachable….A must buy!

What a great AM/FM CD Player, and for $69.00. I needed a new AM/FM CD Player in the Freightliner Columbia I drive, because the stock Panasonic AM/FM CD Player’s CD player quit working, and the FM reception wasn’t very good. I wanted a standard FM radio, because I’m not of fan of everything digital, especially radios, and this JVC fits the bill perfectly for me. The FM reception is great, and I can pick-up a lot stations as I drive around the country, and with clarity. The only thing that bugs me is the directions on the manual for setting the clock and other functions aren’t explained very clearly, but after trial and error I figured it out. To change the clock and other functions you need to push MODE, then push and hold SEL, then after functions come up on the readout click the forward or reverse nob to go to the function you want to change, then use the volume knob to change that function. This is an excellent choice for Radio/CD player. If I was a billionaire I’d still buy it.

This radio is great. The sound is good and the install was easy. The screen can be seen in the day with no problem. For the money you can’t go wrong.

Cheapest unit — which was still a quality name brand — that I could find with Aux-in connection. Well made and attractive looking in the car. Def a bargain for the price…! Excellent sound and no disc skipping problems. Detachable face mechanism is not as smooth as the older Panasonic unit that this replaced but other than that I am very pleased with this budget upgrade to my car that looks much more expensive than it was!

I got this unit in a rush to replace the one I lost the code for in my Z3. I’m glad I did.

With the free shipping from Amazon, I received the unit in two days. Installation (about 30 minutes) was very easy by following the clearly illustrated instructions. The unit fit perfectly in the dash, looks very nice and gave the dash a face lift. Programming (like setting time, volume, etc.) is straight forward: go to the menu, select, enter, and you’re done. In addition to the AM/FM with 18 presets that can be done manually or automatically (for the strongest), it plays CD MP3/WMA. The 3.5mm front panel auxiliary input is very handy for use with iPods, MP3 players, or other external audio devices. The display is very nice and clear, and you can set it to display the time (clock) . Radio signal reception is OK (I have a short antenna). Sound quality, 4 channels X 50W, is good, I did not notice any difference from the OE unit. And the included remote control is an added bonus.

At less than $80 delivered, I think this is unbeatable.
